Ratsnake Games

I have permanently removed my games from itch.io.

This is because the staff have clearly signalled that they are okay with racism, homophobia, sexual harrassment of users, intellectual property theft, and devs who defraud their customers by lying about AI usage and will not ever do anything about these things, but will actively use their powers to silence people who call these things out.

I have no interest of being part of this platform anymore.

Because there are few to none viable options for hosting NSFW games in 2026, and those options are perpetually under attack by fascists and christian nationalists, I see no choice but to shut down development of my games effective immediately.

The final straw was a game made as a direct personal attack on me, by a scammer whom I have gotten into several arguments with because they just can't stop lying. Because I would not accept this harassment, I was myself accused of harassment by a moderator who couldn't be arsed to make an effort to understand the situation.

Another reason was itch.io's two-month campaign to ignore my report of this homophobic, ableist troll, who is as of today still present on the website:

I am sorry to the people who enjoyed my games and would like to thank you for your support. However, I can no longer justify the emotional labour, moral compromises and legal restrictions that are required for adult game development in 2026. It is time to cut my losses and move on to less depressing things, ideally things that are not dependent on tech companies.
